Carlos Barberán Diez is a well established consultant and an Associate Consultant with Mercados EMI, a business advisory company providing services to the international LNG, natural gas, and broader energy industry. He has worked with a variety of leading European energy companies. Carlos has strong expertise in strategy, due diligence, contract negotiation & project development/management and has worked across the natural gas, gas-fired power generation and renewable power (biomass, solar & wind) disciplines on projects for clients in Europe, South America and Africa including Essent Trading, Eon, GdF, REPSOL, BP, Sonatrach and others. Previously, he was General Manager of the GdF Spanish subsidiary company, as well as operating from Paris in an earlier senior strategic management role covering GdF’s European marketing.
