Alain Goy joined Gaz de France in 1980, already in LNG field with the construction of the third LNG tank in Montoir. After 7 years of operation of underground storages and high pressure pipeline network, he came back to LNG in 1990 mainly on receiving
terminals, especially in safety assessments and risk analysis. He was involved since the early beginning in the Technical partnership with Petronet LNG, India. Since 1999, he is head of LNG technical department, in charge of both the French LNG terminals projects (especially Fos Cavaou new terminal, acting in every phases from site selection in 2000 to the operation start up in 2009) and international development projects (India, Norway, Canada, Italy and Singapore). He is chairman of European standardisation committee for LNG facilities (CEN TC 282) and vice chairman of the Program Committee for LNG 16 Conference.
