REN Atlântico is a Company of the REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais Group, which have the Portuguese concession for the Reception, Storage and Regasification of Liquefied Natural Gas. These functions are achieved through the operation of the Sines LNG Terminal, which is the only Portuguese LNG Receiving Terminal.

 

 

GLE (Gas LNG Europe) is one of the three columns of the European association of infrastructure operators GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe). GLE represents LNG Terminal Operators and voices the interests of its members vis-à-vis the European Union institutions, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders. As a separate column of GIE (the umbrella association representing also Transmission and Storage operators, i.e. GTE and GSE), GLE currently gathers 14 European LNG terminal operators from 9 countries, representing about 90% of all the existing LNG regasification capacity in Europe. This provides GLE with a strong voice in the European arena.
GLE aims at enhancing the cooperation among European LNG terminal operators with a view to facilitating access to LNG terminals, fostering new developments, increasing transparency and accelerating progress towards completing the internal gas market. GLE seeks to contribute to the construction of a stable and predictable regulatory framework that is conducive to investments and ensures transparency and non discriminatory treatment.

 

Cedigaz is an international association dedicated to natural gas information, created in 1961 by a group of international gas companies and the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP Energies Nouvelles). It is based near Paris. Cedigaz has more than 120 members in 40 countries. Cedigaz' goals consist in gathering, compiling and analysing worldwide economical information on natural gas, LNG and unconventional gas in an exhaustive and critical way. The information that Cedigaz deals with touches on all activities and aspects of the gas industry (exploration, reserves, production and processing, transportation, trade, storage, distribution and consumption of natural gas). Cedigaz diffuses the information in its periodic bulletins, surveys and online databases.

 

SIGTTO was incorporated as a non-profit making company, registered in Bermuda in October 1979. Formed originally with thirteen members, the Society has continued to grow and now has more than one hundred and fifty members. Collectively, SIGTTO’s membership represents nearly all the world’s LNG businesses and more than half of the global liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) business. Granted observer status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in 1982, the Society is now acknowledged as the authoritative voice of the liquefied gas shipping and terminals industries.This position rests on its reputation for impartiality and integrity in addressing operational and safety matters. The Society remains engaged in its original purpose: to specify and promote high standards and best practices among all industry members throughout the world, and hence to maintain confidence in the safety of the liquefied gas industries and maintain their acceptance, by society at large, as responsible industrial partners.

 

WADE is a non-profit research and advocacy organization that was established in June 2002 to accelerate the worldwide deployment of decentralized energy (DE) systems. National cogeneration and DE organizations, DE companies and providers, as well as a range of national governments now back WADE. In total, WADE's direct and indirect membership support includes over 200 corporations around the world. It is the worldwide representative organization for those parties seeking the economic and environmental benefits of decentralized energy (DE) generation - including high efficiency cogeneration (also known as combined heat and power, CHP) and decentralized renewable energy technologies.

 

The Portuguese Energy Association is a private, charitable, nonprofit organization which develops its activity in the area of sustainable energy, seeking stimulate reflection and debate on areas related to the evolution of the energy sector, and develop actions to strengthen the role of the energy sector in economy and quality of life in Portugal.
The Association is the Portuguese Member Committee of the World Energy Council, and has as associates the main energy companies as well as companies from manufacturing and service sectors.
